{Family} Dave, Chauntel & Taylor

I absolutely adored this session! The weather was mild, the leaves held their colors and I think this family is pretty fabulous! Dave & Chauntel have been in the same LifeGroup at church as long as we've been there, so over five years already, and I've been teaching Taylor piano for almost two years. My husband and I have so enjoyed getting to know them and our kids just adore the three of them too!

This was a new location for me and it worked out so well with just the right amount of variety and very few people around. Definitely a location I plan to return to.

Thanks you guys, for meeting with me, taking a chance on a new location and being so easy to work with - I had a blast with you three!

{Family} Jon & Genny

Last year, I had the opportunity to photograph this fantastic family, who have become good friends of ours. We met up for a mini session, right after I did a short session for my own kids. Just like last time, it was meant to be just the girls and Genny but last minute Jon came driving up and joined the fun! I love it when things work out like that.

The leaves were the perfect balance of on and off the tree, a beautiful fall color and made for a picturesque backdrop.

{Children} Taeya & Ezra

I was finally on the ball this year with our own kids and fall photos. I watched the forecast and wrote it it on the calendar so that we'd commit to it. It turned out amazing and while I think I would have loved a few more individual shots, overall I'm quite pleased with the results. Then while exporting them out of my beloved Lightroom, I didn't put them into the collages I normally do and didn't even watermark them. Oops! I don't care to spend the time going back to do it now, so here are some of my favorites.

{Family} Greg & Feona

I recently learned that November is Adoption Awareness month (in addition to the infamous Movember) and it made me smile as I realized that a majority of my sessions this month include families that have adopted one or all of their children. I absolutely love the way it worked out, and it started out with this great family.

Feona won a 25% off gift certificate recently in a draw on my Facebook page after receiving 100 'likes' and she cashed it in yesterday. We met up in foggy Fort Langley and got rather chilly but thankfully the fog rose and we enjoyed some warmer sun.

This is the first session I've had the privilege of doing in Fort Langley and I absolutely loved it - there is so much to do, so many picturesque places! Plus, Greg & Feona got married in Fort Langley, so we wanted to try and recreate at least one of those pictures...with the addition of the two boys!

Thanks, Greg & Feona, for meeting with me and enduring the cold to enjoy a fresh fall morning together - I had a great time!

{This very first photo is the one we tried to lay out to be similar to one of their wedding photos}

{Family} Jeff & Veronika

In early October, I had the chance to meet up with this family of six under cloudy - but dry - skies. They are good friends with Frank & Tina, and to have heard how far back they go and the similarity in their kids' ages, was so neat! They both have the three older kids and then further down the line...a 'little' one. It didn't take long in this session to see that their youngest, Caden, was super energetic and wanted to constantly be on the move. I certainly got a workout running after and ahead of him and it was so much fun!

Jeff & Veronika, I had a great time with you and your family; thanks for letting me chase you (Caden) around with my camera :)
