{Newborn} Logan Daniel

I am so far behind on my posting; this session happened in November already, when Logan was just a wee little guy. We did a full family session, but when there are career sensitivities, you don't always get to see the whole family! Little Logan was in between sleepy and awake, so there were lots of nursing breaks; that is to be expected with a newborn session and I took advantage of some of that time to photograph his older brother, Hudson.

Seriously, what a beautiful family! These two little guys are so sweet and adorable! Getting smiles out of them (both!) made my morning :)

Thanks for inviting me into your home to photograph your family of four. I hope you've settled into a great groove of taking care of two boys - there are so many adventures to be had!

{Family} Mark & Laura

I photographed this family last fall and so I was excited to meet up with them again on another chilly (but far more sunny) day this fall again. The kids have certainly grown and I think Nya got more comfortable with me much quicker than she did last year. Taye made me work for some smiles and 'normal' looks (I know, it goes with the age, right?) but I think we made it work and got some great shots.

Thanks for meeting with me again - I had a great time with you four!

{Family} A&H

I photographed this family last summer and it was one of my favorite sessions. Ever. I was super excited when they called me again to do another session. They are so easy to get along with, super friendly and the girls are just total sweethearts (which they easily get from their parents!). I was so happy that the weather was amazing as the beautiful weekend fell in the middle of a lot of crazy rain.

Thank you for meeting up with me again - it was fantastic to see you again and capture your beautiful family in the Fall season this time.

{Family} Andrew & Avery

This way this session came about was a first for me. I was at Derby Reach doing a session one day and at the end, this lady came up to me and told me how she'd seen me at the beginning of my session and the thought crossed her mind to talk to me about pictures. She had decided not to but thought if she saw me again, she would come talk to me. Sure enough, we were both in the parking lot after and so she insisted it was something she'd never done, but was hoping I would be able to schedule a session for her and her family. I was so sad because I was booked to the max and had no idea how I could possibly fit her in. Until she mentioned that her husband works shift-work and we could meet during the week. Bingo!

I am so glad that she came to talk to me and that we were able to fit in a session. They're from out of town but had lived in the area because of work but were moving again because of his job. It was so random and fun to make people and places connections!

Jorja was such a sweetie...really reserved until we got to the big field and she had a great time running around (and falling into the dewy grass as there was a bit of a slope). Avery mentioned how special it was to have family photos done there because they had spent so much time there while they lived in the area.

Avery, thank you for coming up and introducing yourself to me. I had a great time with you, Andrew and sweet little Jorja. I hope you are settling in nicely to your new home :)

{Family} Ian & Claire

I first met this family of four when Ross was a newborn; I love having the opportunity to meet up with clients again and see how much the kids have grown! I was so surprised to see how light Ross's hair had become since he was so dark as a newborn.

It was a fresh morning when we met at Sendall Gardens, but we worked pretty quickly and with the location having such a variety in such a small space, there wasn't a lot of walking needed (although I suppose that would have helped keep us a bit warmer).

I had a great morning with the four of you - it was great to see you again; and thanks for toughing out the chilly air!
