{Baby} Sophie

I'm guessing you'll remember this sweet thing, from her maternity, birth and newborn sessions. As Christmas was approaching, Kate was being all crafty (as in making beautiful things, not being sneaky and conniving!) and I am not crafty at all. She offered to make me a Christmas wreath for my front door if I would do some photos of Sophie in a tutu. Easy decision. We have often joked that Sophie will not have 'third child syndrome' where there are no pictures whatsoever. She's had more pictures in her 8 months of life than either one of her siblings did!

What more needs to be said about this gorgeous girl? Enjoy - I had a blast with this session!

{Children} Cory & Heidi

I have photographed these five lively kids before and was excited when Heidi contacted me again to do some 'school' pictures for them as they weren't in love with the ones they'd gotten at school. I was more than happy to do that and even managed to snag a couple of family pictures. A fuller family session is being planned for spring and I am looking forward to the mayhem that may ensue :)

{Baby} Lucas

Sweet baby boy Lucas is the nephew to a very near and dear friend of mine, Julie (you may remember a newborn session with her youngest, Cassandra). With the craziness of October and November for me, we didn't get to do a newborn session with Lucas, but he was a little angel for our session with him at two months old.

Julie wanted a few pictures of the cousins together and then it was on to some time with Lucas and his mommy, Janessa. What a happy baby - such an enjoyable time with these two!

{Extended Family} Henry & Anita

The weather was not looking good on the day I was to meet up with this family, but thankfully it improved shortly before our meeting time and kept getting more and more sunny! It was definitely chilly, but the family definitely persevered...including little Nathan who was in the middle of a stomach flu! He may not have smiled much, but he did look at the camera here and there and took as many cuddles from mom and dad that he could.

Do you recognize part of this family? I photographed Loraine's family about a month prior and then Ron's family was in town for Christmas, so we met up with his side of the family. I quite enjoyed being able to photograph both their families! I may have slipped up a time or two on Anita's name seeing as how both dad's names are Henry and I had the other family names still relatively fresh in my mind.

Thanks to you all for meeting with me, enduring the fresh air and asking me to document your growing family!

{Maternity} Gerdi & Sarah

This post is a long-time coming. We managed to get this session done just over a week before this baby was born, as he arrived a week and a half early. Their sweet little son was born with complications and spent a month in the hospital but is now home! I'll include some of the details after I get a chance to do his 'newborn' session, hopefully soon.

It was another enjoyable session with this family, who are good friends to us, and Sarah looked just as amazing for baby number three as she has for the previous two! Even though this session is two months old, I hope you enjoy the pictures of this beautiful family.

{Family} Mark & Laura

Remember how I mentioned that November is Adoption Awareness Month? Well, here's one family who has adopted two adorable kids and booked their session in November. Despite the kids' initial shyness, they both did a fantastic job and we were able to enjoy a great session at Derby Reach.

Mark & Laura, thanks for meeting up with me on a chilly November day and combing the beach for dead fish and bullet shells :) It was an enjoyable time with you and your beautiful kiddos!

{Extended Family} Henry & Liz

Finally, I am going to catch up. In the middle of October, I met up with this extended family for a session at nearby Gardner Park. I had been there before with my kids to play on the playground but not for a photo session, so I took some time to find some spots in the park that would be great for pictures and it wasn't hard at all!

Loraine and I met last year when our daughter's were in the same ballet class; they share a birthday but are a year apart, so this year they aren't in the same class anymore (3/4 year old and 5/6 year old split). Hopefully next year they'll be in the same class again but in any case, it was great to see the family again.

About five minutes into our session, I pulled the camera away from my face as I clued in to who Henry was. Between him and his brother, there was an old car purchasing connection with my husband. I don't remember who bought it, but Henry had driven up in the same car and it may have previously been my husband's. This is the problem with blogging so far behind - I can't remember the details! Anyway, it was neat.

Thanks for meeting with me - I enjoyed spending the late afternoon with you catching some of those final early Fall sunrays!
