{Children} Taeya is Seven

This is a personal post...our daughter, Taeya, turned 7 at the end of May and so we spent a beautiful afternoon at this gorgeous location and just snapped away. Every year I do pictures of our kids to hand out to family and also to guests that come to the party, plus I use a picture for their invitations. We hadn't fully settled on the theme when we did this session so we just put on a spring dress and enjoyed ourselves!

Just days before her party, she decided on a ballet theme, and I realized I hadn't even done invitations yet! So I quickly put her hair into a ballet bun, put on her ballet best and we went into the backyard to do a few more pictures.

Overall, I love how they turned out; I realize I'm a little bit biased and I'm pretty sure I can be. Hard to believe she's already so big, and now I am really embracing summer since I have her at home all the time instead of so much school/driving!

{Graduation} Chelsey

I first met Chelsey when she was just a teenager (as in, just freshly in the teenage years), as she would babysit her (second?) cousins, who are dear friends of ours. There were times our kids were there with her too for various reasons, not to mention the birthday parties she would be helping out with that our kids would be at. So I've seen Chelsey grow a bit through high school.

I was super excited to hear from her parents asking me to do her grad photos. Even better was the summer weather we were experiencing in May! So we met up do to some portraits of her, snuck in a few with her parents and two of her three sisters, and then off she went to celebrate!

Chelsey, you're beautiful, inside and out! I'm glad you had a great evening celebrating with your friends and hope you're enjoying your summer freedom!

{Children} Cruz is One

Do you remember super-mohawk, majorly cute Cruz from his newborn session? Well, he turned one in May and so I met up with Vanessa and Cruz in my parents backyard to sneak some photos. The poor little guy was super tired and a wee bit grumpy (which, compared to all other babies, was super mellow) so he didn't smile at our every command as he apparently does, regularly.

However, he still has awesome hair, eyelashes that rival Snuffaluffagus, and that face! Oh my, is he ever cute!!!!

Happy Birthday Cruz!

{Couples} Eric & Jen

This session was a long-time coming, as Jen and I had a mutual friend who purchased this session as a gift for them many months prior. Eric and Jen are getting married soon and they wanted to have some pictures together of the two of them and also of Jen's kids as they came together as a family of four.

The weather was beautiful and so are the people! I had such a great time with them chatting about all kinds of things, and following/chasing the kids, Molly and Carson, around.

All the best as you put together the final details for the wedding - I hope your wedding day is wonderfully special!
