{Extended Family} Peter & Christa

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to meet with an extended family - it also happened to be my first session with people I had never met before. Until now it's been all friends, so this was an exciting opportunity.

I had some time with Peter & Christa before the rest of the family arrived and they informed me that this winter they will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. I couldn't help but ask them for their best piece of advice for someone who is still kind of 'starting out' (we will be celebrating our 7th anniversary this Christmas). They told me to keep a short account and to forgive. It's always great to hear advice that not only sounds reasonable but is tried and true through the years of experience of others!

I enjoyed my time with this family - they were all so laid back and fun! And as it turns out, one of the 4-year-old twins, Sophia, is in ballet class with my daughter. It's so fun finding connections; the world is such a small place sometimes.

We had dark clouds hanging over us for the whole session, but thankfully the rain held off until the last couple of pictures. Thanks for meeting up with me - I enjoyed getting to know you all a bit through our time together!

{Even though they're fraternal twins, they do look similar to me. Maybe it's the smile? So cute!}

{Most of the time, Ethan did not want to smile for the picture. All it took was "Ethan, don't smile!" and we'd get the best smile.}

{I noticed immediately the way Peter looks at Christa after nearly 40 years of marriage. Such an adoring look!}

I like the first photo of Peter and Christa, and the one of the twins is very cute as is the one of the little boy alone with his blue eyes and shirt.

I think my favourite setting is where all the grandchildren are sitting along the little bridge.
