{Newborn} Ross

I had the privilege of meeting this little guy when he was just one week old, along with his 3-year-old brother, Grant, and his parents, Ian & Claire. What a sweet family! Grant is fitting into his big brother role very easily, giving baby Ross lots of kisses and love, helping his mom out as she recovers from her C-section by bringing diapers when needed.

It also didn't take too long to notice both boys' dimples that they inherited from their mom - so adorable! I think it could be great for the boys when they're older, not so great for their parents as they try to ward of all the girls :)

Thank you, Claire & Ian, for meeting up with me and allowing me to photograph you and your boys. What a beautiful family - congratulations again!

{Newborn} Hope

I was really excited when Jen contacted me a few months ago, asking me to do some newborn pictures of their third beauty. We know each other from church and their kids are not just super cute, but lots of fun to be around!

We were able to try out a new location, which happened to be the farm of a friend through my daughter's ballet class. It also turned out to be just two streets down from Rob & Jen's house, which was rather convenient. The rain was hit and miss all morning and as I drove to the location, it was sunny but sprinkling. Throughout the session there were some sprinkles of rain here and there, but it all managed to work out just fine, thankfully.

After some outdoor time, we went back to their house and Jen helped Hope go to sleep and we took a few sleepy baby pictures. Thanks for letting me come to take some pictures of your beautiful (and photogenic!) family; it was so much fun!

{Maternity} Brent & Anj

I had the privilege of photographing this gorgeous family again as they were expecting their second child. I always consider it an honor when I get asked to do photos for a family more than once, so this being our fourth session together, was pretty great. Anj brought her backdrops and we set up in my living room so we'd have some natural light to work with.

It was a good thing we did the pictures we did because just five days later - which was 15 days early - they welcomed a beautiful little girl, Aislynn Anna! I did get to meet her a week after her arrival, but wasn't able to do her newborn session as I had three other sessions and holidays soon after. Reigan is a very loving and protective big sister and it's so sweet to see!

Congratulations again, Brent & Anj! Another gorgeous girl to add to your family.

{Newborn} Sophie

Very shortly after Sophie was born, we met up at the studio to get some pictures of this new family of five together and for Sophie to get some time the spotlight too! We managed to get some great pictures, but Sophie was wide awake the entire session (which seems to be a trend with me!) so we arranged for me to go to their house another day. It worked out perfectly that the oldest two kids played outside with my two kids while Kate put Sophie to sleep and then I snapped away. It was amazingly wonderful. It was the first newborn session I'd ever done at a client's home and it was so relaxed!
