Thanks for letting me snap you a bit, Tar - I think they turned out fabulously, with credit to both of us for getting 'er done!

{Portraiture} Tara
This here is my younger sister, Tara. Our mom has been wanting some good head shots of her so that she can complete her family photo wall at home and we had about 10 minutes the other day to get some done before the sun went down and it went perfect! My kids were running around, smacking their auntie on her behind, making faces and getting her to smile.
Thanks for letting me snap you a bit, Tar - I think they turned out fabulously, with credit to both of us for getting 'er done!

{Newborn} Tyson
Remember my first session with this beautiful family? I had the privilege of doing a newborn session for their newest little bundle of blue! Big-sister Rylee's attention and affection towards her brother reminds me of our own kids - when our son was born, our 2-year-old daughter had no interest in touching him, holding him or kissing him. Just giving him the soother or telling me he was crying. We did get one picture of her kissing his head though!
I think it might have something to do with me, but in all the newborn sessions I've done, only one of those babies has slept through the session, allowing me to maneuver, shape and position as I wished. And though Tyson arrived asleep, he woke up quickly and told us pretty clearly that he was not very impressed. Poor little guy! But of course, he fell asleep during the last few shots :)
Oh, one last thing - there were a few gender-revealing pictures from the maternity session I was not allowed to post with the original post because a lot of people didn't know that Carlin & Jen knew what they were having, but it's kind of obvious now, so they said I could. I'll start with a few of those.

Now onto the family of four!

{I loved being able to use something to convince Rylee to get some pictures on her own}

{Interview with Bunny}

{Tyson was definitely happiest in this little 'potato sack.' Nice and warm!}

{Couples} Josh & Sarah
This was my second of the Valentine's Day mini sessions and I was thrilled that the dark clouds from the morning session had lightened up and left us with some better light.
Sarah and I went to high school together - all five years - and actually haven't seen each other since graduation night which was almost 14 years ago (did I just admit that here?). I was excited when she contacted me for this mini session because we've been friends on Facebook for a while already, so it was fun to see her in person again. As an added bonus, they needed to bring their kids along so I got to take a few pictures including them.
And I'd like to just take a moment to point out that Josh and Sarah had absolutely no hesitation kissing as much as I asked them to, if not more! So that's where the last picture comes in - poor Braedon had seen enough!
Thanks Josh and Sarah for coming out to my neck of the woods for this session - I had such a great time with you guys and it was great to see you again, Sarah, and meet your little family!

{Sarah has amazing, dark blue eyes!}

{Braedon was great fun to have along - and what a smile, hey?}

{I did get everyone looking at me!}

{Braedon was done with all the lip-locking}
