{Family} Steve, Cynthia, Gavin & Anna

I recently had the opportunity to shoot my first spring/summer session...ever. It was a whole new experience for me, not just with the outdoors and the natural props, but also using my new lens. Admittedly, it was a tough shoot in that it was very bright out, I let those 'props' dominate a bit too much, and I did not consider the possibility of hay fever for the family I was photographing.

However, they are very gracious friends who totally pushed through the hay fever, the bright sunlight, and let me learn. And learn I did. I am so thankful for their kindness in being such a learning experience for me, and to make it up, we're already talking about a complimentary session with just Steve and Cynthia as their 10th anniversary is coming up in the next several months. And it is my mission to rock that session with them.

{Newborn} Joseph

Only a few weeks ago, I was doing Sarah's maternity pictures, and exactly 2 weeks after they welcomed their new son, Joseph, into their family, we were back together for another photo session. Joseph was surprisingly alert and didn't drift off to sleep once during the time we were together and was quite content aside from the need to have a break for a snack. Definitely an enjoyable session with this family of four - thanks for coming guys. It will be awesome to watch Joseph grow!

{Newborn} Kyla

I did a family photo session for Sean, Bree and Clare back in November, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their newest little girl, Kyla, and the new family of four. Kyla was such a little angel, sleeping most of the session and letting us fold her into a little ball so often. Even big sister Clare managed to be distracted long enough to get a few photos of her with Bree and on her own.
