{Maternity} Sarah

This past week I had the opportunity to have Sarah and her son Elijah join me at Louise's studio for a maternity session. Her husband was unable to make it, but we still had a great time getting some shots of her perfect little belly. For me, it's extra special to be able to do photos for friends, but it almost adds a bit more pressure. For now, anyway. It was a great experience for me to be able to work in a studio with lights for the first time and I'm grateful for the learning opportunity and am pleased with how they turned out.

{Family} Brian, Jen & Kellan

Over the Christmas holidays, I had a chance to do a very mini session with our friends who are practically family. We grew up with them (Brian's family) and do as many holiday dinners/days together as possible. We took these pictures just a day before Kellan turned one, and he is such a cute and happy kid! Plus this family is insanely photogenic, which makes my job so easy!

{Family} Sean, Bree & Clare

After postponing this photo shoot due to weather, we finally decided to just go ahead with it, starting indoors and going outside if the weather permitted. Thankfully it did!

Bree and I went to high school together and she's now married with an incredibly gorgeous 16-month-old daughter with her second on the way! It didn't take long to discover that Clare is quite independent and was not very interested in interacting with either of her parents. So we essentially chased her and worked around her and managed to get some decent shots. It was great fun, we were all thankful the rain held off, and I really could not get enough of her wide, blue eyes!

{Babies} Reigan

I had the privilege of taking a few family pictures of my friends Brent & Anj with their beautiful new daughter, Reigan. With Anj being a very gifted photographer herself, she obviously did all of the main newborn baby pictures, and I was able to do some photos of mom and babe and both parents with their little angel.

I think Anj and Reigan had a discussion before the shoot about how many blow-outs Reigan could manage to return the favor for Taeya's blow-out when Anj took her baby pictures at 3 months old. It was hugely entertaining! Here are a few of the pictures from my time with them.
